| MTBF | >100,000 hours, Telcordia SR-332 at 25°C |
The listed >100,000-hour MTBF is calculated using Telcordia SR-332 at 25°C. It is a reference for reliability assessment—not a promise that an individual supply will run for that many hours.
Protection
| Overload | 110–180% of rated output power; automatic recovery |
| Overvoltage | Catalog specifies 150% max of output voltage; input reset required |
| Short Circuit | Output trips and attempts to restart in hiccup mode |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the UES15D-SPA suitable for my device?
First, what output voltage and current does your device need? Do you need any certifications, and which ones are required for your project?
If you already have a power supply, you can send us a photo of its label along with your device’s power requirements. That gives us a starting point for checking the output and certification requirements. Since the UES15D-SPA mounts inside the equipment, we’ll also need to know how much installation space you have.
With those details, we can check whether this model fits or whether another model would be a better choice.
I’m looking for a replacement. Can I keep the same PCB?
Possibly. Let’s compare the drawings before you make any changes.
The UES15D-SPA has four pins, with different spacing on the AC and DC sides. Matching the output is the first step; the pin positions and assignments also need to match your board. A photo of the existing supply is useful, but a drawing will give us a much clearer answer.
Would this be a good choice for a small pump?
With a pump, we’d look at the starting current as well as the current once it is running. The two figures can be quite different.
What pump are you using? Please send us its model number or a photo of the label. We may also need the starting-current figure, since that is not always shown on the label.
Can we order different outputs for different products?
Yes. Tell us the voltage and current needed for each product, and we can check which versions match.
For example, one product might need 6V at 2A, while another needs 9V at 1.5A. Both fall within the corresponding versions’ listed current ratings. They would be two different units, though—you cannot change one unit between those outputs.
How much room does it need inside our device?
The body is 54.0 × 36.8 × 20.3mm. Do you have a layout drawing showing where you want to put it? A sketch with dimensions is also useful.
We’ll look at the pin locations and the space around the supply as well as the body size. Please show any nearby components too, particularly anything that gets warm during use.
Can our device work and charge its battery at the same time?
How much current does it use while charging? That is the figure we need alongside the device’s operating current.
If your existing test only covers the device running with a fully charged battery, it may not show the highest load. Try to include the condition where the device is working and the battery is charging. The battery also needs its own charging circuit; that function is not built into the UES15D-SPA.

How to Install Open Frame AC-DC Power Supplies
Finding room for the power supply is one part of the installation. Wiring, cooling and electrical clearances need space too. This guide walks through those considerations and provides a checklist to review before closing the equipment enclosure.
12V 1A vs 12V 2A Adapter: Which One Should You Choose?
Two supplies can have the same voltage and very different current ratings. If you’re comparing the UES15D-SPA’s 12V version with another supply, this article explains what those current figures mean, why a higher rating does not force extra current into the device, and where starting demand matters.
